Jonah finishes the 2010

Dakar Rally in 7th place

Stage 14, The Final Stage is complete bringing us to the end of the 2010 Dakar Rally. Jonah finished the stage in 12th place and the overall in 7th.

To put the Dakar into a summarized perspective, The Dakar is a world class sporting event put on over 15 days and 14 stages. The route covered 7504 kilometers / 4,690 miles (the distance from San Francisco to Tokyo) in length and at its highest point 3,200 meters / 10,560 feet through the Andes Mountains. The terrain throughout the Dakar is unbelievably difficult and only for those who are highly skilled and trained professionals with a bit of a crazy streak.

On behalf of Top 1 Oil Products, we'd like to thank you all for following along with us over the past two weeks. We are very pleased with Jonah's ride and 7th place finish but more importantly we are especially pleased that Jonah and the Rally Pan Am Team finished the Dakar without serious injury and will be home with their families in a few days.

Finally, a special thanks to Charlie, Niles and Robb of Team Rally Pan Am for their hard work and dedication to running in the Dakar. What these guys accomplished on a "shoe string" budget is incredible! Thanks Guys!
